Terms of use
Operator and application
OngsooLabs is operated by OngsooLabs, represented by Seungsoo Lee. The business address is 401-33, 9, Bucheon-ro 29beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea. These terms apply to accounts, the Dashboard, customer API keys, Direct Reader REST, and the Direct Summary API. The effective date is 2026-08-30.

Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a contract. If you create an account or use the service for an organization, you must have authority to bind that organization to these terms. Where applicable law requires a legal representative's consent for a minor, a contract made without that consent may be cancelled in the manner provided by law.
Service scope
OngsooLabs provides Reader and Summary features that process public web content. Supported inputs and outputs, usage instructions, and technical limitations are described in the public API guide.
Accounts and API keys
You must secure your account, Workspace, and API keys and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. Accounts, API keys, and usage may not be transferred or shared with another person.
Usage packs and orders
Paid packs are one-time purchases and do not renew automatically. Credits are deducted according to the applicable product terms when a request completes successfully. Credit rates, deduction rules, and detailed product terms are available on the Pricing page.
Orders and payment are conducted through Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment, receipts, and execution of refunds. OngsooLabs provides account, API, and product support. Purchased credits are added to the account after payment is confirmed.
Unacceptable use
- Unlawful activity, authentication bypass, attempted security compromise, or use of another person's credentials
- Requests for private material you are not authorized to access, or use that violates applicable law or source-site terms
- Excessive automation, limit evasion, or resale that threatens service reliability
Availability, limits, and account closure
No public SLA is provided. Requests may be limited or service interrupted for maintenance, security, capacity, or operational needs. Access may be limited or an account suspended for a terms violation, security risk, unresolved payment issue, or legal requirement. Closing an account immediately ends Dashboard, API, and remaining-credit use and is not a request to delete personal information. Refunds and their effect on credits are governed by the Refund policy. If OngsooLabs permanently discontinues the service for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will explain any remedy required for unused paid credits under applicable law.
Rights in the service, inputs, and results
Rights in the OngsooLabs service, API, user interface, documentation, trademarks, and related technology remain with OngsooLabs or the applicable rightsholder. You must have authority to process requested material and inputs and permit OngsooLabs to process them only as needed to provide the service. OngsooLabs does not acquire ownership of source content. You may store, modify, and use results subject to applicable law and source-site terms and are responsible for that use.
We do not guarantee complete results or perfect accuracy for every page structure. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights. Data processing is described in the Privacy policy, and refund conditions are described in the Refund policy.
Warranties and limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or error-free results. Liability for unforeseeable indirect, special, or consequential loss, lost business, or loss of data that you could reasonably have backed up is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. These limits do not exclude or limit liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, death or personal injury, liability that cannot be limited by law, or mandatory consumer rights.
Changes, governing law, and contact
When these terms change, we publish a new version and effective date and, where reasonably possible, give advance notice of a material change. We request consent when applicable law requires new consent. Completed orders and refunds are governed by the terms and policies that applied at the time of purchase together with applicable law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea without excluding non-waivable consumer rights in your place of residence, and disputes are handled in the forum provided by applicable procedural law.
